Our History
Coastal Door and Gate owner Adam DeRienzo has been in the industry for over 20 years. He began his career at 17, hanging garage doors for a local company in Plymouth, MA. Adam moved to South Florida in 2005, running a successful garage door and gate company in the Port St. Lucie area for over 13 years. Adam and his family moved to Jacksonville in 2019. He established Coastal Door and Gate to continue his passion for serving the residents of Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and surrounding areas.
Adam is married with 2 children and has loved calling Jacksonville home. When he’s not helping homeowners and businesses with their garage door and gate repairs, he enjoys spending time with his family and adding to his tattoo collection. He advocates for Traumatic Brain Injury awareness, which you may notice by his green ribbon tattoo and the decal on his work truck. This is inspired by his daughter, Maddie, who suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury as a teenager.
Joshua Stettin is co-owner of the business and works hard to ensure our clients get quality service and personalized attention. Josh was born and raised in South Florida. he is the son of a WWII Army Veteran and a retired school teacher. When Josh isn't working he enjoys fishing, cooking, and spending time with his friends and family. Josh is always there for his friends in need as he was for Adam, Shanna, and their daughters while they were watching their daughter fight for her life. Knowing Adam wanted to provide for his family and get his business going again, Josh stepped in without hesitation. Josh is the kind of person that will not only go the extra mile for his family and friends but for our customers as well. Josh has been in the construction field for five years.
